As it matures, it’s red coloring slowly fades to green. Leaves have a satin, almost velvety texture, and prominent light green veins. The tops are a dark, velvety green with stunning, light veins running throughout.
Philodendron el Choco Red likes bright, indirect light, but it can tolerate low light conditions. However, it is important to avoid direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. The ideal temperature range for this plant is between 60°F and 85°F.
Philodendron el Choco Red thrives in well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. A mix of potting soil, peat moss, and perlite is ideal for this plant.
